Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 10 June 2026

1. About Six Month Society

Six Month Society ("the Platform", "we", "us", "our") is an online marketplace that connects individuals ("Participants", "you") with independent program providers ("Providers") who offer structured fitness, wellness, education, and skill-development programs.

We are a platform, not a provider. We do not deliver, supervise, or endorse any program listed on the Platform. All programs are created, managed, and delivered solely by independent Providers. Our role is limited to facilitating discovery, communication, and enrolment between Participants and Providers.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your account. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current information during registration and to keep your profile up to date.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or harmful behaviour.

4. How the Platform Works

For Participants

  • You may browse programs, submit enrolment requests, and participate in squad-based check-ins.
  • You may request new programs and vote on requests from other users.
  • When you request to enrol in a program, your name, email address, and phone number will be shared with the Provider so they can manage your enrolment and contact you about the program. You will be asked to acknowledge this before each enrolment request.
  • Enrolment is not guaranteed. Providers may accept or decline enrolment requests at their discretion.

For Providers

  • Providers may list programs, manage enrolments, and communicate with enrolled Participants.
  • Providers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their program descriptions, scheduling, pricing (where applicable), and delivery.
  • Providers must handle Participant personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and our Privacy Policy. Data received through the Platform may only be used for the purpose of managing the specific enrolment.
  • Providers must hold appropriate qualifications, insurance, and registrations required for their services in their jurisdiction.

5. Data Sharing & Privacy

Privacy is important to us. Our full data practices are described in our Privacy Policy. Key points relevant to these Terms:

  • Enrolment data sharing: When you enrol in a program, your name, email, and phone number are disclosed to the Provider. This is necessary for enrolment management and is acknowledged during the consent flow.
  • Display names & privacy controls: You can set a display name and control what information (email, phone, location, real name) is visible to other users on the Platform.
  • Provider obligations: Providers must not use Participant data for purposes other than managing the specific program enrolment, unless the Participant gives separate consent.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Post false, misleading, or harmful content, including fake program listings or fraudulent reviews.
  • Harass, abuse, or discriminate against other users or Providers.
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorisation.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or collect data from the Platform.
  • Circumvent the Platform to transact directly with Providers in a way that breaches these Terms.

7. Content Guidelines & Adult Content

Six Month Society welcomes a wide range of programs, including those intended for participants aged 18 and over. Programs that are restricted to adults must be marked as 18+ when submitted. These programs are hidden by default and only visible to users who have opted in via their profile settings.

The following content is never permitted on the Platform, regardless of the 18+ tag:

  • Requests or listings that facilitate casual sexual encounters, hookups, or dating.
  • Explicit sexual content, pornographic material, or sexually explicit imagery.
  • Content promoting illegal activities, including illegal drug use or violence.
  • Hate speech, content promoting discrimination, or harassment of any kind.
  • Fraudulent schemes, scams, or misleading commercial solicitations.

The distinction is straightforward: structured programs intended for adult participants are welcome; requests for casual sexual encounters or illegal activities are not. Six Month Society reserves the right to remove any content and suspend any account that violates these guidelines, at our sole discretion.

Users can report content they believe violates these guidelines using the report function. We review all reports and take action as appropriate.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, software, and design on the Platform is owned by or licensed to Six Month Society and is protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

Content you post (e.g., check-ins, program requests) remains yours, but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and use that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any program listed by a Provider.
  • We are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation in a program.
  • We are not responsible for the conduct of any Provider or Participant.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Platform.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred by the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any other applicable Australian law that cannot be excluded.

10. Assumption of Risk

Programs listed on the Platform may involve physical activity, skill training, or other activities that carry inherent risks. By enrolling in a program, you acknowledge that:

  • You participate voluntarily and at your own risk.
  • You are responsible for assessing your own fitness, health, and suitability for any program.
  • You should consult a medical professional before beginning any physical activity program.
  • The Provider, not Six Month Society, is responsible for the safe delivery of their program.

11. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises between a Participant and a Provider, we encourage both parties to resolve it directly. Six Month Society is not a party to any agreement between Participants and Providers and is not obligated to mediate disputes.

For disputes with us directly, we ask that you first contact us at [email protected] so we can attempt to resolve the matter. If we cannot reach a resolution, the dispute will be governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, engage in misconduct, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases, but provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., limitation of liability, intellectual property) will remain in effect.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
