Provider Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 10 June 2026

1. About These Terms

These Provider Terms & Conditions ("Provider Terms") apply specifically to users who register as a Program Provider ("Provider", "you") on Six Month Society ("the Platform", "we", "us"). These are in addition to the general Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, which also apply to you.

2. Your Role as a Provider

As a Provider, you are an independent operator. Six Month Society is a marketplace that connects you with potential participants — we do not employ, contract, or supervise you. You are solely responsible for:

  • The content, quality, and delivery of your programs
  • Setting accurate program descriptions, schedules, and locations
  • Communicating directly with enrolled participants
  • Ensuring your programs comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Holding any necessary qualifications, certifications, insurance, or licences required for the services you offer

3. Participant Data & Privacy

When a participant enrols in your program, you may receive their contact information (name, email, phone number) to facilitate communication. By registering as a Provider, you agree to:

  • Use participant data only for purposes directly related to the program they enrolled in
  • Not share, sell, or disclose participant data to any third party without the participant's explicit consent
  • Store participant data securely and take reasonable steps to protect it from unauthorised access
  • Delete or de-identify participant data within a reasonable time after the program ends, unless the participant consents to ongoing communication
  • Comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and any other applicable privacy legislation

Once participant data is shared with you, you become independently responsible for how you handle that data. Six Month Society does not control, monitor, or accept liability for your use of participant information.

4. Program Listings

  • All program listings must be accurate, truthful, and not misleading
  • You must not list programs for activities that are illegal in the jurisdiction where the program takes place
  • Programs intended for participants aged 18 and over must be clearly marked as 18+ at the time of listing
  • We reserve the right to remove or suspend any listing that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful, misleading, or inappropriate

5. Liability & Insurance

Six Month Society is not liable for any loss, injury, damage, or claim arising from a program you deliver. This includes (but is not limited to) physical injury, property damage, financial loss, or any dispute between you and a participant.

We strongly recommend that you hold appropriate public liability insurance and any professional indemnity insurance relevant to your services. It is your responsibility to assess and manage the risks associated with the programs you offer.

6. Payments & Fees

Six Month Society does not currently process payments between Providers and Participants. All financial arrangements, including pricing, payment collection, refunds, and invoicing, are between you and your participants directly.

We reserve the right to introduce platform fees or commission structures in the future. Any such changes will be communicated with reasonable notice.

7. Account Suspension & Removal

We may suspend or permanently remove your Provider account if:

  • You breach these Provider Terms or the general Terms & Conditions
  • We receive credible complaints about your programs or conduct
  • You misuse participant data
  • Your listings are found to be fraudulent, misleading, or harmful
  • You fail to respond to reasonable requests from Six Month Society

Where possible, we will notify you before taking action and give you the opportunity to address the issue.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Six Month Society, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your programs, your use of the Platform, or any breach of these Provider Terms.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Provider Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your account. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
